Lovettsville Real Estate News
By: Karen Wenner Cooper

One of the absolute hottest topics in Lovettsville right now is the new commercial center coming to Lovettsville Town Center! This pseudo-strip style shopping area named “Lovettsville Square” will have a decidedly German feel, highlighted by the stately clock tower. Now that the building is well underway, there has been a lot of talk and speculation. I’ve done a little research, and here’s the latest news…
- The commercial developer responsible for the project is NVRetail. They anticipate delivery in summer 2016.
- The initial plan for this space was 120,000 square feet of retail/commercial space, which was substantially slimmed down to the current 18,000 that is being built out.
- Many have hoped and asked for a grocery store, including the Lovettsville Cooperative Market, but my information is that they have not signed on as an anchor store as once reported.
- At the moment, the only business who has signed on is Leesburg/Sterling Family Practice Urgent Care. There have been several to express interest including an Italian restaurant, Mexican restaurant/wine bar, coffee shop, nail salon and chiropractor.
When the project is complete, there will be approximately 10 retail/commercial spaces available.
