It’s time for another market update!
One way to measure the health of the real estate market is to make year over year comparisons. This week we will look at the comparisons between May 2016 and May 2015 for the Lovettsville 20180 zip code.
In May 2015 a total of 10 homes in the Lovettsville 20180 zip code sold, with an average sales price of $451,469. The average days on market for those properties was 65. Of those sales, they were evenly split between homes on acreage (over 1 acre) and subdivision homes on less than 1 acre.
In May 2016 a total of 11 homes sold, with an average sales price of $458,787, so a very marginal increase. Most impressive is that days on market was split nearly in have, with homes that sold in May averaging only 38 days on market. More of the homes sold in May 2016 were on acreage, with 7 of the 11 sales being on more than 1 acre.
Our real estate market remains strong, with properly marketed and priced homes moving with relative ease.
