Lovettsville Real Estate News

The kitchen of the home at 9 S Berlin Turnpike … one of only 29 homes actively listed for sale in Lovettsville!

Now that we are fully into the holiday season, and winter weather is descending upon us, a common feeling for many sellers is to take their home off the market or if they have not yet listed to wait until spring. While for many sellers this is appropriate advice, and advice I’ve given many times depending on the situation, selling your home this time of year is not all bad. The biggest benefit is the lack of inventory, which means a lack of competition for you. Currently, there are only 29 homes currently available on the market for sale in Lovettsville (that number does not include new construction listings for to be built or newly built homes). That is a significant decrease over “normal” market conditions, and will help to better position those homes who are on the market. Will there be fewer buyers out and less traffic this time of year? Yes, absolutely, but with such little inventory, the homes that are actively listed will have a much higher likelihood of selling now and securing their buyer. Certainly something to think about.
