This time of year newspapers and television news programs love to report on the first baby born in the new year, so we are going to report on the "firsts" in Lovettsville real estate news for the year.
The first new listing in the Lovettsville zipcode for 2016 entered the market on January 8. It is a 4 BR, 3.5 BA resale home in the Lovettsville Town Center neighborhood, listed for $389,000.
The first property to go under contract in Lovettsville for 2016 was a split level home on 15 acres on Axline Road, which went under contract on January 1. The property had been on the market for 188 days at the tome of contract and features an air strip - definitely a unique property!
The first sold property of 2016 in Lovettsville was a 4,400 sqft home in Waterford View Estates, which sold for $500,000 on January 8. That property originally went under contract on December 11, 2015.
